David Hockney was born on July 9, 1937 in Bradford, United Kingdom. He now lives in Kensington, London and has two other houses in California. David often visits both houses a lot and has done so over the past 30 years. He is considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, and has created art work that supported homosexuality before it was widely accepted in the 1960's, along with many other varieties of artwork. The artwork we created emulates his style as it is inspired by his famous collages that he creates from using many polaroids.
To create this I used photoshop, first I made a new file that was 14x11. Then I dragged in the photos one by one making them smaller with the scale tool. After I put them all together like a puzzle trying to figure out how everything can go together good. Lastly once everything was together I selected every photo individually and changed the brightness and contrast making some darker or brighter than the others.

I chose rolling stone magazine because, I like their style, I decided to emulate a very similar cover with Eminem on the front, because I really like hip-hop and and how nice everything was layer out. The font I used is Arial Black Regular and used the color white. First I changed the brightness and contrast, then added a transparent rolling stone logo and added a layer mask to make it seem like it is in the background after that I added the text.
A strobe light is a powerful flash that is synced to the camera so that it strobes when the shutter is released. You would use it to provide strong studio lighting, and it would be paired with other sources of light. A modeling light is a secondary light source in a studio shoot that allows for a balance in lighting to eliminate shadows and create even exposure. It would be used with a strobe light, generally placed on the opposite side of the subject in order to balance the light. A soft box is a cover placed over a strobe light and guide the light. It is used to channel the light from the strobe and soften it so that the resulting light is diffused cleanly. It also directs the light straight to the subject. A reflector is a flat panel of varying shapes and sizes, but usually circular. They can be either white, silvery, or gold. They are used to reflect light from the light source in order to eliminate shadows or create even and balanced lighting. A grey card is a physical panel with a white, gray, and black strip that is held by the subject in test photos. It is used to allow the photographer to find the perfect exposure so that the gray on the photograph perfectly matches the gray on the real panel. A radio trigger system is a system of transmitters that are attached to the camera and any light sources, especially strobe lights. It is used to allow for wireless connectivity between the camera and light sources so that the flash from the lights is synced to the shutter release in the camera, and it allows the photographer to be more mobile due to the lack of a cord. This photo was taken at my school; the compositional rule I used is rule of thirds, making the berries on the right the main focus. The camera I used for this photo was the Nikon d5300 with a 18-140mm lens. To create the image I put it in Photoshop and moved around with the hue/saturation, and brightness /contrast. My photo is on the division color photography because of all the different hues and the bright colors that pop out. This photo was printed on Epson Gloss Photo Paper on the Epson P800 digital printer.
